Freestyle:

If you are the type of person that likes to go big, or go home, the rider who looks for jumps, big air, or spends most of the time in the park and pipe, then you are the freestyle type of rider. You are looking for a shorter snowboard, and one with a good amount of forgiveness or flex. When the snowboard is softer it is easier to control, spin, and regain your balance after the completion of the jump.

Freeride:

A freerider is looking for a long stiff snowboard, this customer likes to ride on the hard packed snow, powder, and most of all looks for speed. If this is you, then you are looking for a slightly taller and stiffer board and very stiff, this will allow the snowboard to respond into the fast carve when you need it to.
